Refund policy overview

How TicketSmart handles refunds and what to expect.

TicketSmart acts as the payment processor on behalf of event organizers. Each organizer sets their own refund policy for their events.

  • The organizer's refund policy is shown on the event page before purchase
  • Some events have no refunds; others allow full or partial refunds up to a certain date
  • Refunds for cancelled events are handled on a case-by-case basis — contact the organizer first
  • On organizer-triggered Stripe refunds, TicketSmart waives its own fee while Stripe handling can still affect the buyer's final refund amount
